About Jessa – Founder of Trueself Counselling
At Trueself Counselling, Jessa offers compassionate, client-centered care through individual therapy and couples counselling. Each session is grounded in a deep commitment to fostering healing, growth, and emotional well-being. Clients are met with empathy, respect, and the support they need to explore challenges and move forward with confidence.
Before becoming a mental health counsellor, Jessa was actively involved in mental health advocacy and community-based volunteer work. These experiences shaped her dedication to helping others gain perspective, develop resilience, and navigate life’s complexities. Drawing on a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, Jessa collaborates with clients to build practical coping strategies and overcome personal and relational obstacles.
Her work is guided by a belief in the power of connection—to oneself, to others, and to one’s values. She helps clients tap into their inner strengths and supports them in living more authentically and meaningfully.
Jessa is a Registered Professional Counsellor and also works within the health authority. She is a trained crisis support and mental health worker and serves as a Designated Representative for the Immigration and Refugee Board. Committed to excellence, she engages in ongoing professional development to ensure the highest standards of care.
Outside of her practice, Jessa enjoys spending time in nature, paddleboarding, cooking, and listening to podcasts.
