Counselling can and does help with life challenges and obstacles or navigating relationships. Through counselling, clients can experience less anxiety over time by learning skills and coping strategies and also learn how to deal with stress in their life. The safe, confidential space that exists in a counselling session is essentially the vessel in which you can journey into a different and more positive place in your life and relationships.
Couples can learn strategies to better the relationship and how to interact with each other more functionally. This can be done by better learning about your partner’s expectations, navigating the separate way you demonstrate emotions and communicate, how to listen to one another more effectively and also how to hone in on the other’s love language.
At Trueself Counselling, I work to meet the teen where they are at initially and then transition to help them feel heard and validated as I tap into their strengths and awareness to help them move forward with the challenges they're facing.
