My Story

My Path to Becoming a Counsellor

My professional journey began over 10 years ago in mental health advocacy, where I supported individuals navigating complex systems, emotional challenges, and difficult life circumstances.

From there, I went on to work in specialized mental health settings and completed crisis worker training, gaining experience supporting individuals in acute mental health environments. These roles strengthened my understanding of both the systemic and deeply personal aspects of mental health care.

These experiences ultimately led me to pursue formal counselling education. I now hold my MPCC-P (Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling – Provisional).

Today, I bring together over a decade of professional mental health experience along with lived experience in the mental health field.
